Core Essence Studio Announces Grand Opening August 29, 2005
Providing Portland, Oregon’s Premiere Pole Dancing Class

.....Core Essence Studio’s mission is to provide a festive and fun environment for women to celebrate their bodies regardless of size, shape or age. Located in Portland’s new, vibrant, artistic community, The East bank, Core Essence is the first studio to introduce Portland, OR to Pole Dancing as an alternative form of energizing, enriching and erotic exercise.

......Based on fundamentals of empowerment, personal and physical strength combined with a celebration of sexuality, classes begin on August 29, 2005. Located at 1028 SE Water Avenue Suite 250, Core Essence heartily and sincerely welcomes any and all to experience an empowered version of their unique selves. Pilates, mat and NIA classes are open to both men and women. Group pole dancing classes are open to women only. Private and Group Pole dancing instruction is available for men by arrangement.

.......The two hour, level-one Pole Dancing Classes at Core Essence Studios playfully and successfully incorporates yoga, ballet and Pilates, spiced up and turned out with an element of eroticism. The goals of the instructors and students are to build confidence by having fun in a supportive and joyful environment. As the sessions progress, so will the class levels. But you can join in and start at your own speed anytime.

......Certified by the Physical Mind Institute in Pilates as well as Standing Pilates, Lori Midrano, proprietor and founder of Core Essence is a Portland native and dedicate. In addition to her established clientele and firm background in Pilates, She also has a background instructing aerobic dance and has studied the following disciplines: hatha, ashtanga, bikrim yoga, the discipline of Feldenkrais, ballet, intuitive and ecstatic dance.

......Lori is also certified in the healing arts of Reiki. She is the first woman to bring this sexy, strong and supportive medium of exercise to the area and looks forward with enthusiasm to incorporating strength, confidence and sexuality into this new frontier of physicality. Lori Midrano operates her business by connecting with each of her clients as respected individuals, building awareness, innate wisdom and a positive, reinforcing essence in an end goal to enabling each student to cultivate their own healthy body and mind connection.

......The Pole Dancing classes at Core Essence incorporates a sonic backdrop that will appeal to and inspire each and every client to get up and dance. Whether they are fans of bands from Arcade Fire to Allison Kraus, Frank Sinatra to Franz Ferdinand, Tricky to The Hold Steady, Mary J. Blidge to Massive Arrack or Nelly to Miriam Makeba, The play list at Core Essence will musically match the finest pole spin to finest records spun. It’s just plain fun. Students are greatly encouraged to bring their own favorites and to develop their own dance and final routine to their personal dream soundtrack.
